PRIDE YOUTH LEADERSHIP
In response to requests from American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth, Western States Center partnered with the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, the Center for Native American Youth, and the Native Youth Leadership Alliance to develop a resource toolkit for and with young Native leaders.
Indigenizing Love is written to support Native youth, tribal communities, Two-Spirit and Native LGBTQIA+ collectives, community leaders, and partners who intend to better understand and support our Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ communities.

There are countless socio-economic & educational disparities that impact our community. Diné Pride will reintroduce traditional knowledge & teachings that kept our LGBTQIA+ relatives safe & revered - the way our culture recognized at one point in history.

Long before the forced Christian removal of our children to boarding schools, or the Stonewall riots, the Civil Rights Movement, and the fight to recognize marriage equality - it was our Indigenous Nations that recognized and protected our existence as LGBTQIA+ family members since time immemorial.
